The US Navy has announced it has awarded a new contract to CSC to provide communication and media support services to its operations around the globe.
Under the new deal, CSC will provide services in a number of areas, including integration and strategy, media and community relations and the production of public information materials to the US Navy.
The firm will also provide public affairs and IT professionals for Navy headquarters and its community outreach programmes.
Austin Yerks, president of CSC's North American Public Sector Defence Group, said the US Navy has counted on the firm "to provide innovative solutions to help meet mission-critical requirements" for over 40 years.
He added: "With proven experience spanning the defence and commercial markets, CSC's team will allow the Navy to achieve success through the practical application of innovative communication strategies and programs to reach multiple global stakeholders."
The US Navy recently announced that USS New Orleans has been repaired and is now fully mission capable, after being struck by a friendly submarine during March.
